Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Upon your arrival at the designated airport, you will be greeted by your experienced guide who will accompany you throughout the safari. After a warm welcome, you will embark on a scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, located in southern Tanzania. The journey itself offers stunning views of the Tanzanian countryside. Once you arrive at the park, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax. In the late afternoon, you will embark on your first game drive in Mikumi, where you can spot a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and numerous bird species. After an exciting day, you will return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
Wake up early to catch the wildlife at its most active. After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a full day of game drives in Mikumi National Park. Your experienced guide will navigate through the park’s diverse ecosystems, including open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the Mkata River floodplain, where many animals congregate. Keep your camera ready as you search for the “Big Five” – lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos. In addition, you may encounter wildebeests, zebras, impalas, warthogs, and an abundance of birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of nature, and continue exploring the park until the late afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Udzungwa Mountains National Park
After breakfast, leave Mikumi National Park and embark on a scenic drive towards Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Known as the “Galapagos of Africa,” this park is a haven for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for an exhilarating trek to the stunning Sanje Waterfalls. Accompanied by an experienced guide, hike through lush rainforests, encounter unique flora and fauna, and marvel at the breathtaking views along the way. Arrive at the magnificent Sanje Waterfalls, where you can cool off and take memorable photographs. After a rewarding hike, return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning Nature Walk and Departure
Start the day with a refreshing morning nature walk in Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Explore the trails at a relaxed pace, appreciating the rich biodiversity and tranquil atmosphere of the park. Encounter various monkey species, including the endemic Iringa red colobus monkey, as well as colorful butterflies and birdlife. After the nature walk, return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
